The scent
White flowers open it, jasmine most clearly, full and slightly heady in the way night-blooming flowers are. Within the hour the base begins to show: dark wood, oud, something resinous and faintly smoky. From there the two layers keep trading places. The drydown is woody and warm with the flowers still glowing somewhere underneath.
Who it is for
Women who want a floral with some danger in it, and men who want an oud with some light. It suits evenings, winter, weddings and any occasion with some drama to it. It is not a quiet fragrance and it is not designed to be worn to a desk.
How to use it
Two sprays on the throat and one on the wrists. Because the base is heavy, it will keep developing for hours, so do not judge it in the first fifteen minutes. One spray on a scarf will still be there next week.
