Amber fragrances usually go one of two ways: powdery and old-fashioned, or so sweet they turn into dessert. This one does neither. The resin is warm and slightly dusty, the oud gives it a spine, and the mandarin keeps catching the light for the first half hour. It wears close at first, then opens out as your skin warms it.

The scent

Mandarin first, juicy and bright. Underneath it the amber is already building: resinous, faintly powdery, warm the way heated stone is warm. The oud arrives in the second hour and stays, dry rather than smoky, holding the sweetness in check. It finishes as skin-warm resin with a suggestion of spice.

Who it is for

Anyone who loves oud but finds Ombre Nomade too much for the daytime. It suits Ramadan evenings, family gatherings, and that stretch between late afternoon and night when you want presence without taking over the room. Equally good on men and women.

How to use it

Two sprays at the base of the neck and one on each wrist. Layer it over an unscented moisturiser if your skin runs dry, because amber fades faster on dry skin. Do not spray it into your hair.
